MANCE EDDIE GRIFFIN


Mance Eddie Griffin was born to Clarence and Angie Line McCarty Griffin on February 12, 1943 in Houston County, Alabama.

 

He attended Spann Jr. High School and graduated from Carver High School in Dothan, AL. Mance joined St. Peters Community Church at an early age. He rededicated his life to Christ on February 26, 2020. He was the oldest of five children.

 

Mance worked at Hayes Aircraft Corporation, Dolly Madison, Chapman Home Builders as a machine operator, and a taxi driver. He was a skilled dominoes player.

 

Mance departed this life on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Southeast Health. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Angie Line Griffin; his wife Lily Griffin; two brothers, Samuel L. Griffin, Dothan, AL and David Griffin, Newton, AL; and a stepson, Brad Powe, Dothan, AL.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Emma Jean Griffin and Mamie Lenon, Dothan, AL; a stepdaughter, Sharon (Marion) Riley, Lansing, MI; a stepson, Maurice (Lisa) Powe, Apollo, FL; one aunt, Anne Mae McCarty, Dothan, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2025 FROM 4 TO 6 P.M. AT HORACE WILLIAMS MORTUARY,

1457 E. MAIN STREET, DOTHAN, AL.


FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 2025 AT 11:00 A.M. AT ST. PETERS COMMUNITY CHURCH, 241 MARSHALL ROAD, DOTHAN, AL.


INTERMENT FOLLOWING THE SERVICE AT GREEN VALLEY CEMETERY, HWY. 84 WEST, DOTHAN, AL.
